Well I did the letter to Lloyds TSB claiming the charges for both the OH and my son.
I sent them the list with dates, interest, amounts etc and have got back a letter basically saying they are a fair charge for the service, they are completely open about the charges!!. They state OFT has published new guidelines about credit card 'default' charges but what we paid is the price for the service Lloyds provide in that situation, not default charges. So they can't agree to cancel the charges as the system is fair. and that they will send details us the list of charges if we send them £10! We sent them the list of charges including interest and that's why they sent us this letter.
So what now - is it the fourth stage?
Seems they are saying we cannot get the charges back as they are not 'default' charges but a payment to them for the service they did for us. Is this a red herring to throw us?
Has anyone else had this letter from Lloyds and what happens now please?
