Any one used Spark Energy?

Hi all

Just looked on u switch and to change from British Gas dual fuel it would appear that I can save 20% a year with this company, in second place was Scottish Power. You can't apply online though, and the bills come through the post whereas I am currently on monthly direct debit. I've never heard of Spark Energy - can any one recommend or give any comments please? It seems a bit too good to be true tbh

  • Oh Blimey, I think I have answered my own question! Just scrolled down and seen a poster who has recently changed to Spark and is now questioning the wisdom of their move. Oh well, Scottish Power it is. Oh dear, it's all such a gamble isn't it?

Yes, there does indeed seem to be a lot of MSE'ers who are or were supplied by Spark ... if we are to believe all posts on this site.

I never knew Spark had such a large customerbase.

If two separate comparison sites are showing you an identical saving, then chances are it is true.

If you want a belt and braces approach, you can always check the details on the suppliers own website. :)

MSE Martin suggests the average user who has never switched before could actually probably save about 25% by using a comparison site.
