I too have recieved an unable to fulfil email, really not happy. Very poor customer service. I will be moaning to them, for all the good it will do. It cant be that hard to know how many you have to sell and minus how many people have ordered.
Naughty Debenhams!!!Life really is a bowl of cherries!0 -

Debenhams have been unable to fulfil somethng like 90% of orders. I had an order confirmed last night and then got an unable to fulfil email, no explanation, no apology. I wasted about 3 hours on their website last night building up said order and it was all for nothing.
Their Facebook page is bursting with complaints, the replies are all the same telling people to email Debenhams explaining their problem. The problem with that is that I have read that they either send a standard response or simply don't reply at all and if people phone them they simply get fobbed off.
It has been going on for years, it isn't a new problem with their website or stock system, they just cannot be bothered to sort it out, Amazon don't have this problem http://www.hotukdeals.com/misc/i-hate-debenhams-172782
Then there is the waiting weeks for a refund problem, they shouldn't really take payment until goods are dispatched, but that's just my opinion although it makes sense to use that approach. All they need to do is adopt a website with a live stock monitoring system that works, like Amazons for example, then these things wouldn't happen.
Debenhams deserve to go out of business based on the way they treat their customers, harsh words maybe, but they don't deserve to survive in this economic climate when they treat people this way. In fact no company should survive based on the above.
I will never be buying from Debenhams ever again and I know there are a hell of a lot of people on the net that feel the same way.
I'm not miffed because I can't have my cheap goods, I am miffed because the Debenhams website indicated that I could have my goods, the email order confirmation said the same but then they take it all away later with an "unable to fufil" email. Very professional of them. If their website said things were out of stock on the product page then that's fine, I wouldn't be miffed about that, they don't have it, so fine, move onto the next product.
I look forward to the day Debenhams have to close their doors, sad for the staff yes, but it'd be another awful company off the list of awful companies which is a plus for the consumer.0
