Anyone with Welcome Car Finance?

Options
I MAY soon buy a car from Welcome Car Finance. I notice that there is a sign up in their showrooms offering a Recommend a Friend and both get £200 deal. If anyone wants to say they recommended me then please PM me. I guess I'll need your full name and address.

Obviously I cant say it'll certainly happen but better a chance of us both getting £200 than nothing.

Thanks

Ha ha. Yes, I've been warned about that - thanks. My situation is a little unusual and I don't have any other options.

    Here! Here!

Have you explored options thoroughly? Often there are ways of financing a car purchase without taking out really expansive loans from Welcome.

Top tip: Check what the total amount repayable is and it will be a real eye opener, they will be reluctant to show you, I would insist!!

    Good luck

Neither did we.. we managed to get an APR of 24.1% with them which is good as their typical is 27.9. We heard a couple in the next room get told their APR was going to be 50.1%!!!!

I wouldn't recommend them either purely from a high interest point of view - but if you have no alternative options what can you do!

We were supposed to pay monthly - they take it weekly - although the interest was calculated over the 48 month term we will pay it off at least 2 months early - and no chance of getting the interest back either as they front load it
  • I would recommend that you go anywhere other than Welcome Finance. Their interest rates are extremely high and they will not work with you when you find things in your agreement that you were unaware of. I have car finance with them - although I didn't know it was with them until after I had signed the agreement. The same happened with a personal loan - which has turned out to be a mortgage. I am really going to try and get away from them - they are a very difficult company to deal with.

OK. All I know is what I put in my above post. If you PM me your name and address then I'll say you recommended me to them if I get a car through them. We should then both get £200, although it seems there'll probably some small print somewhere which means we don't qualify. ;)
