Best time to go away during July/August

If we are going to get a family holiday abroad this year it will have to be during the school summer holidays, so for your average Med type All Inclusive, when is going to be the least busy, at the start of the summer shutdown or towards the end? we usually go towards the end of September as that's when my birthday is, however, the school are starting to get a bit funny about us doing this and I can see their point now daughter is 10. So we can plan for either the start or the end of the summer hols, I guess there will be a gradual build up to being very busy then gradually get quieter.
I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world

They already have, she missed a 4 day school trip to Yenworthy last year so we could go away for my 50th and the Headmistress has made it clear that she would not authorize term time leave this year.

Start of the school holidays is peak season, a lot of the European schools have earlier holidays than us. Second half of August is usually much cheaper and less crowded, but you probably won't notice a lot of difference in price if you book it as a package. Book flights and hotels separately, flights can be quite cheap in August and hotels booked direct or via the likes of booking.com can be good value.0
