I went straight from IB to ESA without a face-to-face meeting and had no medical information to send in.

I too went straight from IB to ESA support group without having a face to face WCA or sending any accompanying medical reports.

I do know they contacted my GP as her advice was mentioned in the ESA85A.

I have never heard of anyone passing the assessment without seeing ATOS in person. Especially given how they fail people that are near death!

I went straight to support group without any face to face assessment. It does happen, where there is enough evidence for ATOS to make their decision :)
Dear Lord, I am calling upon you today for your divine guidance and help. I am in crisis and need a supporting hand to keep me on the right and just path. My mind is troubled but I will strive to keep it set on you, as your infinite wisdom will show me the way to a just and right resolution. Amen.
  • You'd have to have pretty serious conditions that are easily demonstrated to be decided like this.

I'm just trying to get into the WRAG. THere's no way i'll get into the support group. I'm doing this because the Work Programme tells me they can't and won't help me otherwise.

The problem with the system is that it wants you to either be capable of work 100% or 0%. Anything in between and it collapses.

I've been in WRAG for over a year now. When filling in the form this time, I didn't put my phone number in, purely because they broke DPA when they called me.

Whilst I was being transferred from IB to ESA, in 2011, I did NOT get asked to attend the ATOS WCA, however it still took them 5 months to confirm that I was in the support group.

How does the DPA prevent them from calling you?

ending up in the support group means you have a much more serious condition. This is my problem, I don't have that kind of problem. But then I'm not 100% ok for work (and I cannot deal with the bloody JC+)

It doesn't. But they aren't allowed to give personal information over the phone. I had already told them I was uncomfortable giving them that information over the phone as they could be anyone. I could have been anyone. They proceeded to tell me some info that should never be given over the phone.

Another question for the ATOS rep.

How long should I wait before calling the DWP to ask for a copy of the report?

I called today and they said they still haven't received the report from ATOS. It was last Wednesday that the WCA was attended.
