    I got an email from MS about that today. I can't remember when I last used it, so meh.

    Started getting emails about it on Wednesday but I only ever used it to keep in touch with the kids and they've long since moved on to Facebook, BBM and other less known (by me at least) video & chat services so I'll not miss it.

    I currently use http://www.pidgin.im/

    It attached to my Windows Live contacts, Google Talk and Facebook chat. Works quite well, the Skype client in windows annoys me.
