Elec usage up 25% last quarter!

Normally keep a spreadsheet for the last few years of elec usage. Obviously, gas is different because you use more for heating in the winter but I've found elec to be about the same.

Apart from last quarter. Up 25%!

Not happy. I guess in the winter you use lights more and xmas lights etc but never noticed it being more usage before.

Not sure what it is. Got a new TV - 60" plasma - used to have 46" before. Surely its not this?

More likely to be a 60 inch TV than a set of Christmas lights for 12 days!
How does the rating of your new TV compare to your old one?
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

Our 42in GT20 plasma uses around 160w but it's been calibrated, by the same token the 65in VT50 calibrated uses around 170w mainly because they have made power efficiency a lot better in the past 2 years.
It's not easy having a good time. Even smiling makes my face ache.
