I have been placed in the work related group of ESA . I was asked to attend a day course on ways of helping me back into work which i attended , i now been asked by my adviser to go on a week full time course to help me back into work . I really dont feel well enough to go and have been basically told well that tough you must go .
Im not well enough to go so im not going but what santion will i get for not going on this course ?
Will they stop my money ? or will my money be reduced and for how long ?

If you are sanctioned, you will lose the personal allowance component of £71, so will be left with the work related component of £28.15. The sanction is open ended until you 'comply' to work related activity conditions. Once you are deemed to re-comply, the sanction lasts for an additional week on the first 'offence'.
If you can show 'good cause' for not attending, the sanction can be overturned, although it isn't really clear what exactly constitutes good cause.
You would have to argue that the work related activity is unreasonable due to your circumstance and capabilities.0 -
I would suggest you get a letter from your GP if your health makes it difficult for you to attend. This will help you prove that it is unreasonable for you to attend a week long course.0
