mp3 help pls

Just got a new mp3 player, the type that displays the album artwork, but its only doing this with a few songs. i renamed all the songs and put the correct albums in to the ones that were missing, but these ones dont show the artwork. What should i do so that all show the artwork? cheers:beer:

I'm sure there is an easier way but you could try Audioshell. Its a great wee freeware program that amongst other things will allow you to link covers to mp3 files.

Install it then right click on the mp3 go to properties and click on Audioshell tag editor.

If the option doesn't appear right away then restart your pc
  • What program are you using? iTunes or Windows Media Player?

There is a free tool called The Filter which you can use. Its main purpose is creating playlists and filling your MP3 player - but it also has a setting where you can download album artwork and bung it in the rightt files.

Give it a go, its free any way from http://www.thefilter.com

audioshell didnt work, neither does get album info in wmp, or tagandrename..nothing can recognise the songs. is there something that can find the song by song name only?

How did you rename the songs?? Did you rename the file or the tag? Try mp3tag. Personally I think it's the best freeware mp3tagger out there. You can also use itunes to inbed artwork into the mp3 files.

What didn't work. With audioshell you need the image on your pc - the easiest way is to download from amazon and resize.

If you are trying to get Media player to recognise the album and it isn't you could try this

Once installed open it click on the view menu and cd ripper and click new cd

I've tried it on some obscure cd's and its worked. I don't think you will get software that will do what you want on a track by track basis

I'm not 100% sure but I think he wants software that will identify a cd when inserted and auto name the files and attach artwork
