Help with jargon

Could someone please help me?

All these threads mention OH and DD etc and I don't understand what they all mean. Could someone please give me a quick rundown as to what they stand for.

I've been wondering the same for ages but was too scared to ask!

Some people include the birth rank and age of children eg DD2(10) would be my second daughter aged 10.

Don't worry about feeling silly - I used to wonder for ages who lol was and how come everyone seemed to know and refer to him.

Eventually relised it was "laugh out loud!".:o

Young lady that I work with receives emails and text messages from her daughter and sometimes they include an "LOL".

She's convinced that it means "Lots of Love".

I gave up trying to convince her that it didn't!
