Business rates ??

I'm looking into getting a review done of our local business rates. I've checked the online websites for this but what I really need is a clear list of what is 'rated'. i.e toilets, storage etc are these rated differently from workshop, offices etc..

We have a workshop BI class and eveything is rated from the Workshop,parking spaces,storage space,storage rooms everything has a rateable value. You should be able to go on your local valuations office website and look up the plans and it will show each area in size and rateable value.As an example a parking space will have a different rateable value to storage space.
Where we are there was another small building that was knocked down, we thought that as it is now used for a storage area it would have the same rateable value as other storeage areas but apparently not, its rated higher because it "use" to have a building on it..

Failing that phone your valuations office and ask them .
