Guys:
Just ordered a cheapo Dell Inspiron for my sister - basic, she don't need much power etc...her 1st ever PC/Laptop, albeit she's used 'puters for some years... and it comes with McAfee 15 month subscription etc...
I don't/haven't yet used Windows 8 - and would (on a Windows 7 box) - add Avira AntiVirus, I assume Windows Firewall... and try & not take/disable McAfee.... (due to painful experiences in the past..).
Any suggestions for what security-related stuff anyone would suggest?? - or any other suggestions??
She'll likely be mainly Internet, email (Hotmail), maybe a bit of office (OpenOffice I'll download for her..).
Internet I'll loan her a 3G dongle for a month or so before suggesting which BB package to get....
Regards & thanks in advance....
Cheers!

Win 8 has it's own built-in AV.
