Norfolk broads in April

We're wondering about going on a boating holiday on the Norfolk broads in the first week of April. Does anybody have any experiences? In particular, will it be cold and will it be busy (for getting moorings)?

Bound to be cold - probably like camping, but i think i would enjoy it. Have you checked the lighting up and getting dark times?"if the state cannot find within itself a place for those who peacefully refuse to worship at its temples, then it’s the state that’s become extreme".Revd Dr Giles Fraser on Radio 4 20170

We went in April last year and we were really lucky with the weather. It was dry all week. We ate outside & even got suntans! It cooled on the evenings. Moorings were easy enough to get. Having been to Norfolk in Aug people start getting moorings at lunchtime! It was a fabulous holiday that my boys still talk about and want to do again. Have a brilliant time .0

Oh dear God what possessed me to book this trip? Methinks we'll spend each morning defrosting the boat and the rest of the day crawling from one pub to the next. I guess that doesn't sound too bad...0
