Has anyone got any advise about Ill Health Retirement?I am 49 and have been offered this from my Employer but not sure if its wise to take this as im still young,I have M.E. so that's why I have been offered this.

If you take IHR how will that affect your finances?
Will you have enough to live on?
Do bear in mind that your expenditure will probalby go down if you don't work e.g. travel costs, work clothing, lunches etc but your home costs e.g. heating/lighting will probably go up.
Will you be able to claim any benefits?
If you don't take this offer, might the company force you to retire in hte future - under maybe less favourable terms?
If you currently work full time, would it be possible for you to find part time work?
Check re this - some companies may not allow people retired on ill-health to work.
