I have a number of large files I need to send to a friend in the states. The largest one is 550mb. I'm trying to find the best way of sending it to her. I've been looking at some of the free sites (e.g. yousendit.com) but they all seem to have a low limit on how much I can send. Can anyone tell me if there's one which doesn't or if I need to pay who recommends what?
Thanks.
Thanks.

If you have access to an ftp site (either for your own domain, or someone elses) then i'd use that. Otherwise you could create a multipart RAR file and spread that over lots of emails. Your 500mb will compress a reasonable amount i'd think, especially if it's mostly text based.Throwing acid is bad.... in some peoples eyes...0

It might be easier just to post a cd or dvd0

You could set up your machine as an FTP server temporarily - try Cerberus FTP. (free for home use) If your friend users a download manager they'll be able to resume the download if it breaks, and you won't have to upload to a 3rd party.0

Have you tried creating a Bit Torrent of the files and telling your friend the name of the Bit Torrent ??0
