HMRC Self Assesment Online Services Website Unavailable?

Hi

I just tried to log on to fill out my Self Assessment and the website is down. It says the service is temporarily unavailable.... has anyone managed to do theirs today?

Probably crashed due to time of year. Their website is as weak as water. Keep on trying.
Aside - The cynic in me says that it's deliberate to collect all of those £100 fines from inoocent people. HMRC wouldn't do that. Would they?

Probably not.

Filing deadline for most is not until the end of the month, so they would have to keep the site down an awful long time

Last year, because of a threatened strike action on 31st Jan, HMRC extended the filing deadline by 48 hours.

But do keep the conspiracy theories coming; the 'net wouldn't be the same without them :cool:

Yeah it happened last year, there was problems but keep trying, you have got plenty of time!
