Ah, sorry about that, I'd only just got mine too. Hopefully they will come back in stock again like they did last time.
BTW, did you get the breakfast deal today? I ditched my list as I thought it had ended, thanks for keeping your screen shots:happylove Nanny to 2 Cherubs :happylove0 -
This article says it applies to those in social housing only, i.e. those in privately rented houses will be unaffected
http://www.guardian.co.uk/society/2013/jan/25/spare-bedroom-tax-contradiction-impossibility
Because those in private rented have already had their LHA limited to the number of bedrooms they officially need.
This change goes a small step towards bringing those in council/ HA properties in line with those in private rented houses.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. fairclaire wrote: »bed for me. I am having daily appts for the forseeable. I am anaemic and allergic to iron tabs.....so embarrassingly I need a jab in the butt everyday until god knows when:o....still got to be up at 8 to beat the pensioners( sorry nannylala)
Ta for the chat artha:Afairclaire wrote: »thanks:) the nurse mentioned this stuff this morning. Apparently the jabs are a much bigger dose than tablets/liquid and that's another reason why Im having them for a week or so....to boost my iron levels up quicker. Hope it does boost it quick as the jabs are:eek::rotfl: TBH I hadn't felt all that tired or worn out.The low level just showed up on the blood tests.
Rest of the blood tests will be done by Monday, so hopefully I can get sorted then.
Ouch, I don't like the sound of those injections!! :eek:
If they don''t get your levels up, ask to be referred to the haematology day unit at your local hospital. They can give you an IV infusion of iron. It doesn't hurt at all though you have to sit there most of the day on a drip. I've had this done many times as I have coeliacs disease and also have trouble absorbing iron orally. One IV infusion usually keeps my levels good for whole year.
Good luck,
MM x
p.s. the liquid iron supplement you can buy is called Floradix or Floravital It tastes lovely! You can also buy Spatone which is an iron rich water in sachets. They sell this in Tesco/Boots etc but the Floravital you would need to look in a health food store or somewhere like Holland & Barratt? These are ok for daily use if you are a bit low, but not enough if you are really aneamic. x"I expect to pass through this world but once. DS was like this with numbers 2s. We too tried all we could think of but time definitely seemed to be the key. Few things we did try;
We got a book called 'Pirate Pete's Potty' which he loved and wanted read to him every time he sat on the potty. We even managed to get him some glitchy pirate themed pants from Ts
He would only poo in a nappy but unlike your DS always went in the morning. When we made sure he was in pants to try and encourage him to go in the potty he just held it in. We cracked before him when we got to 3 days and let him have a nappy to do it in :eek:
We did try to get him to sit on the potty with the nappy on to go though as he'd always stood up when going usually and wanted him to get used to sitting.
We knew it would be a case of once he'd got over that first time and got a reward he'd be fine. Every time he asked to go we'd try him on the potty without a nappy first. One day with a lot of encouragement he did it and got a treat of a toy ambulance. Now we're in the position though that he'll try and 'force one out' to get a treat :rotfl: Slowly the treats are getting smaller... one chocolate button. Sure he'll still be asking for a treat when he's done a poo when he's 18 :rotfl:
:rotfl: We bought a book called Potty Time that she likes to read on the toilet :rotfl:May: Make £5 a day £115.38 / £155
