  • Morning everyone :hello:
    Hope all is well.

DD can't grasp potty-training :( she wont poo in the loo so we have 2 accidents minimum every day, maybe she's not ready?

If she's not ready then have a little break. My little boy literally used the toilet for one day- 1 wee and 1 poo. Nothing else has happened since. If i keep his nappy off he just holds it in. I've kept it off for 4-5 hours and nothing. He gets really upset and won't settle. Soon as i put a nappy on him its full to exploding point. We will try again soon but im just playing it by ear. It is after all called "toilet training" it takes time and i won't rush him. If you want to pm and just chat, i'm always ready for a natter. :)

Big thank you for everyones kind words. :A

I left mum at the hospice not really anymore comfortable than she was at home. :( But they did give her an injection before I left, morphine I assumed so hopefully that will give her a good night.

Consultant will see her tomorrow to decide the next plan of action, which could possibly be the trial of metadone she was offer previously or even more radiotherapy as they think the cancer may have spread down/up her spine as there are 2 new pain areas now. :(

It is a lovely hospice and I know she is being well looked after, I will sleep well tonight knowing she is not on her own. Have washed the sheets from the spare room at hers just in case I need to sleep there at some point if she makes it home again.

    Night all. xx

Hugs to you and your mum tinyshoes x

:eek: DS (who is 3) wanted to watch spiderman so i put on the TV in kitchen and went on youtube (it's a smart TV). I normally put one on for him that is 28 mins long. So i ran upstairs for quick shower. When i came back down, he has somehow changed the Youtube choice of spiderman and was now watching a spiderman lego cartoon with batman and superman in it. All seems fine until I heard the words "you effing a$$hole" from the TV :eek: Seems it's an adult version of spiderman!
So i've just ran in to tell him "quick, I've found some fairy cartoon on TV" and he's hot footed it into the living room. but :rotfl:
I hope to god he doesnt come out with those expletives at some point today :o

Omg - we had this exact thing happen us last week with DS1 ( 4 ) - he loves lego and watching toys being built on youtube - only for us to hear this - we freaked but tried not to make a deal and just switched on another - only for him to say - aw F***

IT takes a couple of days for the expletives to come through. When my son was about that age we were in a car with a friend of ours driving and she had a near miss with another car, a four lettered word came out that starts with s and ends with t, he didn't use it that day so thought we had got away with it. Anyway, MIL came round that weekend and he dropped a toy and came out with it :eek: Kept dropping toys and using same word too!! MIL was (fortunately) in hysterics! Took us a couple of weeks to convert it to "oops a daisy"!!
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare
