The S bath creme works - cos the shelves were cleared so none for me. Got trouted at the Til for using a 50p moc tropical sun. She said no. So I argued. Still said no. Supervisor came and obviously just wanted to get rid of me and the queue building up so took it.
Bloomin annoying though as its a safe coupon.Tiger

Oh no im so sorry :eek: thats awfull, im a cleaner and this type of scum bags give us a bad name!:mad:
How long have you empolyed him/her for?
Been with me for 2 years, sweet young girl. Thought she was reliable and trustworthy, she left to go back home last week and I even gave some extra money to say goodbye.
I have had a few cleaners in the past and they all have been honest, now I feel violated. Certainly wouldn't tar all with the same brush, but I am going to have to be more cautious.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. :T:T:TWell back from my building society meeting. To start with I talked to him about the fact that they messed up the consolidation. He tried to justify it by saying that C&G are you run by Lloyds and include Halifax and RBS. But he did admit they had not behaved very well by making a mess of it and leaving me with an even higher payment each month.
I went through my loand with him and spoke to him about revising the term so they all finish in 6 years and that the interest only one becomes repayment. He said he could not forsee any problem in the Building Society doing these revisions and as technically the account is in order now ( now that arrears have been incorporated into the loan) head office could deal with it easily.
He worked out that if they do this I will be paying about £120.00 less per month than I was paying and the loans will all end and be paid off in 6 years.
He said were it not for one of the loans being technically out of contract he could have done it in the branch today.
So I will call them in the morning and set it in motion. I am relieved and hope it works out.
I had a lovely chat with him about MSE and he said it was refreshing to hear from someone who was finding ways to save money on so many things. He said he has lots of customers who are in severe financial difficulties and having to remortgage to pay off credit cards. I told him I no longer have any credit cards ( no one would give me one anyway) and don't need any thanks to MSE!! He was fascinated about glitches and coupons.!!
:T:T:T:T im glad you had a good chat with them and sorted something ,0 -
Evening folkios
Hugs to Logie, Tinyshoes and anyone else in need of one
I've been quite MSE this week. I rejoined weightwatchers through TCB on Friday, first weigh in tomorrow morning, and I am expecting a loss :j problem is now that although I am not hungry, I want to munchso am keeping myself occupied with other stuff.
Other than buying my bus pass for the month, I have spent less than £10 this week :j :j I swear my bank are going to phone me to say that they have noticed "unusual activity" on my account- ie payday week and I've not been spending :rotfl:
My "stocktake" of freezers and cupboards at the weekend is paying off nicely
Would have tried for the bath stuff in sainsbugs but misery guts has the car and even if I went up to pick it up, I'd have to battle through rush hour traffic to get to my nearest one, so reluctantly I am giving that one a miss. Although, I do have to collect an order from T tomorrow and they are very close to Agros so I might give that one a goI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Health & Beauty, Greenfingered Moneysaving and How Much Have You Saved boards. All I have is her first name and mobile number and she was leaving anyway to go abroad - chances of her being caught are next to zero.

Gift card update
The £25 prepaid visa in Mr Shoes has an activation fee and will cost £27.95. The £50 costs £53.95
I bought the £25 to test it out and Mr Shoes GCs sold in Argus ARE accepted as payment
The t&cs of the prepaid visa are huge but having read them a couple times nothing says you cant use it to buy more giftcards. The closest it comes is saying you can't buy more than 5 at a time and cant buy more than £2000 in a year
So for example buy 4x£20 giftcards for £60
Then buy a £25 visa for £27.95 and a £50 visa for £53.95 (this will require a further £1.90 cash)
You now have £75 prepaid visas for £61.90
Go back to Argus and buy more Mr Shoes gcs with your prepaid visasApparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen0 -

There had to be a way to do this to rinse and repeat - do we know if all the cards are activated straight away because the logical way to do it would be to do an Argos and Boots next door to each other to save petrol.Learn from the past, enjoy and appreciate the present and work to make your future the best it can possibly be
