Well back from my building society meeting. To start with I talked to him about the fact that they messed up the consolidation. He tried to justify it by saying that C&G are you run by Lloyds and include Halifax and RBS. But he did admit they had not behaved very well by making a mess of it and leaving me with an even higher payment each month.
I went through my loand with him and spoke to him about revising the term so they all finish in 6 years and that the interest only one becomes repayment. He said he could not forsee any problem in the Building Society doing these revisions and as technically the account is in order now ( now that arrears have been incorporated into the loan) head office could deal with it easily.
He worked out that if they do this I will be paying about £120.00 less per month than I was paying and the loans will all end and be paid off in 6 years.
He said were it not for one of the loans being technically out of contract he could have done it in the branch today.
So I will call them in the morning and set it in motion. I am relieved and hope it works out.
I had a lovely chat with him about MSE and he said it was refreshing to hear from someone who was finding ways to save money on so many things. He said he has lots of customers who are in severe financial difficulties and having to remortgage to pay off credit cards. I told him I no longer have any credit cards ( no one would give me one anyway) and don't need any thanks to MSE!! He was fascinated about glitches and coupons.!!0 -
I made OH buy some Princes paste today to check the multibuy as they are cheap anyway , results in half five... I was very happy (OH not so much
) to see a display of Pot Noodles at £1 each! :j:j:j
Went to Arg0s for giftcards today, thankfully lovely SA knew all about it already but I wanted B00ts and TKM4xx but they only had the TK ones in £20's and I wanted £10's does anyone know if they exist in £10? In the past I would have spent more just to get the deal but I just got my B00ts ones and walked away...proud of myself!
Oh I nearly forgot, I went to Boot$ and trout told me that the 25% off shower gel ACM spits can't be used on half price shower gel? When did that happen? She did scan it first so I'm not sure if she was genuinely troutlike or if computer said no but the first time I've heard this (nonsense). I did not buy...lol!Learn from the past, enjoy and appreciate the present and work to make your future the best it can possibly be
And get lots of glitches!0 -
