I am a bit scared to try some of the shades I got from Superdrug when they were 10p and BOGOF. :rotfl:
I will buy anything if it is cheap (except blonde), hair dyes are my weakness like Nikki's is duvet covers and celebrates is towels.I have some that are a couple of years old now that are really red not my usual colour at all. Hope they don't go off. :eek:

So I have had an annoying thing for a few weeks. Not pain, but discomfort under my L rib cage. I thought it was a residual thing left over from the pleurisy I had before Christmas. Last week or so it has gone from being discomfort to dull pain. Went to GP on Friday...examined me and told me my spleen is unusually enlarged....I need some blood tests. I had them today. I was talking to my OH about it earlier and the wide awake kid was ear wigging ( he does this...we are used to it) 10 mins later he came in with a printed sheet of possible scenarios for an enlarged spleen:eek::eek:....it started with the mildest and the lovely little sausage highlited the life threatening ones at the end of the list:eek:.......he then concluded that my pleurisy followed by a cold sore outbreak would be enough to enlarge my spleen :eek:.....thank you Dr sonny:rotfl::rotfl:When The Fun Stops Stop0 -

A doctor in the making there!“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”

I did this when I cut the cornea on my eye, and the doctor said I might have to have a cornea graft operation. :eek::eek: The possible side effects and chance of rejectection was scary. Thankfully I haven't had to have one yet.:T
Rebecca and Tinyshoes, I once was using the hair dryer and managed to gauge a tiny part of the cornea out of my left eye! :eek::eek: its because my nails were very long then, not so long anymore!
was very painful, I looked like a pirate for 2 days had to wear a patch:rotfl::rotfl::eek:FunkyFeet:eek:Elite 5:2 #190 -

Yes, I do this sort of googling all the time and am always prone to fearing the worst that never actually comes. Haven't done it as much recently and I'm better than what I was. There's always, I feel, a slight hypochondria to it - and remember it's, well not dangerous but rather not necessarily a good thing to self-diagnose.
If you're concerned, I'd leave it to the doctors. There's all sorts of nasty illnesses and diseases going around the world, some nasty contagious viruses that fortunately rarely make it to our shores. On a brighter note, it's not usually the 1% chance of serious illness that we fear but something less severe that either isn't a problem needing any treatment or is treatable in a reasonable period and then you're all right again. The doctor didn't agree with me that my new mole was problematic and, guess what, it's gone now - probably a less usual bruising (from accidentally catching my leg on a table) that had managed to stick around a bit. It certainly wasn't the mole-like thing a few days after seeing the doctor, and was more obviously bruise-like then.
Anyway - best of luck to all and perhaps the glitches start now!! (Big hope.)
savvy...you would get on so well with my son:)0 -
