I am staying in a local hotel....with free wifi:D. The house is surprisingly good. My dads friend, bless his heart, has looked after it well. It has been aired and is pretty clean and the gardens have been kept nice:A

I attended his funeral today :( his family have been so helpful to me as well.....I hadn't realised my dad was so friendly with them. Had a root around the house and found some memories:) and :(. found about 40 bottles of wine in the cellar:eek: and brought 2 bottles of champers to the hotel with me.....prices in the hotel are

tomorrow, Im off to find a supermarket for cleaning stuff to spruce the place up. Also am trying to arrange to get the power back on, but it's the weekend so.....who knows. I might have to stay until the beginning if next week

Bonne nuit & steer clear of French window cleaners

Why did it automatically underline window cleaners ? in the original post ? & then not in the quote ?

Mortgage debt 45,000. Thank you all for your help so far in helping me save to buy the house. I could not have done this without all your help.

You are right artha, with there being a few of us here I am sure we will bump into each other and see identical baskets one day

Thanks everyone for the info on cat food on offer - I have had a purry stray visiting me regularly for the last couple of months - I have been trying to find out if it is a stray or owned but no one seems to know where it lives. It appears to be mega starving and wolfs down any food as if it hasn't eaten for ages but it is quite large so I am also worried it is just a greedy cat and I don't want to over feed it and do it some harm.

Goodnight all - heres hoping for a mega glitchy weekend
