    Afternoon all

Have had to borrow the skipping rope as RL got in the way.

Hope you are all keeping safe and warm.

Have spent all morning baking bread rolls, focaccia and cupcakes with DS1. House smells yummy. Now just have to stop them all disappearing within a day :o

Bit of stressful news this afternoon. DH has a lump on his arm that has been there for a few years and has gradually grown. He saw consultant a couple of weeks ago and they did bloods/xray etc. This morning he had a phonecall to say they want him to go in for a biopsy on Wednesday so they can check if it is anything sinister. Sure it'll all be ok but then I wasn't worried about me.... He's even younger than I am (he's 28) so chances of something nasty should be low. At least we will find out soon.

As you may remember TM I've started collecting bone china trios for the upcoming wedding. (I've now got over 300 when I originally only wanted 120:eek:) Never been able to pick up any old country roses at the prices I've been looking to pay and the stuff I've seen on ebay has fetched some quite good prices. Value depends on the backstamp:
    http://reviews.ebay.co.uk/How-to-buy-Royal-Albert-apos-s-Old-Country-Roses-Bone-China?ugid=10000000000729040

I go to the weekly auctions at Saltburn Salerooms and it always seems to be in demand there. Of course, at a general auction, it never fetches anywhere near the original prices but still way above other bone china. I've even picked up some hand painted art deco trios at a fraction of the cost of what old country roses goes for.

Thanks for the review Artha. I'll read through when I have more time this evening. I must go and check the back of my stuff:)

Loving all of the 'cleaning tips' :rotfl:

I'm always amazed at how quickly I can blitz the house in the half hour before DH gets home from work :p

After burning the dinner on a couple of occasions after getting distracted by you lot I bought a slow cooker. Now I try to make sure dinner is on first thing in the morning, before I get lead astray :D
