Think we could go all night with variations - should be fun tomorrow trying - cos it all depends if they are identified as PP system as part of meal deal.

Happy to try a combination but might not get I a Ts till Tuesday!

I think the point you are missing is that Ts PP machine doesn't always recognise that the products you have bought in T or part of a meal deal.

So they compare the products at full price rather than ignore them as they should per the T&Cs

Correct. I was about to do another post, adding "make of the FAQs/T&Cs as you will". Remembering that the exclusions from T&Cs may sometimes be of benefit, e.g. if we buy a mix and match multibuy, only part of which is included and an excluded item gets us the multibuy discount in-store (then compares at full price on the included one).

T&Cs are there* for info. It is of course well within the remit of this thread to draw our attention to any glitches e.g. where the PP etc. doesn't work in accordance with the T&Cs. I haven't studied the meal deal - it may be you're (rootednomad) telling us on here that part of the deal, we may choose, may include a non-comparable item? Or, as AAU has said, that the deal comes off in store but isn't being recognised on the PP?

As I suggested, it's too late tonight for me to try to understand all this, of what rootednomad is posting and the follow-up MSM details. Sometimes I'm tired. If there are any combinations that work well/are being suggested in relation to the PP or have been noticed as giving any glitches, please post the exact and full details of what my shopping basket should consist of!:)
(I've probably again come in midway through some posting and not caught up yet.)

Many thanks to everyone, keep up the good work.:T And goodnight.:)

    Hi

I think there may be some PP scope with the new Breakfast "meal deals for £5" at T, particularly the berry cereal one

    http://www.tesco.com/groceries/SpecialOffers/SpecialOfferDetail/Default.aspx?promoId=A30276646

the 2 x cereals are I think £2.99 at T and £2 at A, so assuming they compare that is £1.98 back before taking into account the other items.

The egg and sausage one also has potential as 6 medium free range eggs are £1 at A and the sausages are 39p cheaper. This isn't such a bad deal in its own right

Not sure about the brioche/coffee one

    Nice one!! :D

    Any advice for an automatic?

I know to drive in L (low gears) on snow and ECO mode (Shrugs) and to turn traction off if the wheels start spinning. Don't know anything about how to park it.

    leave it in park!

Good evening all :) Hope all is well. Been finding it difficult to keep up with you all lately!

Park your car with the front wheels turned in towards the kerb. That way it will only roll a very little way and bump the kerb to stop it rolling any further if the handbrake should fail.

Agree with David on the high gear low rev front. TC should also stay on unless you are used to driving without it

Had a fail on the shopping front. 4 shops didn't have mail on Sunday to go with printed tickets for Hitchcock and no Huggies starter packs to be found in adsa. Ho hum, better luck next time :)
