Just catching up over lunch. Went into town to try for uggs or emus in sale. SA said they don't do them - what a load of tripe  I asked if maybe they had taken them off the shelves for the sale and she did not answer. So I am uggless and emuless

Hugs to dipdap
. And to anyone else that needs or wants a hug today.
Thanks for the photos David and viv - love looking at these as it takes me away from thinking about work :jSmile
and hopefully the world will smile back0 -
Sorry to hear about your seizure. When this happened to a colleague a number of years ago and he lost his licence for 12 months, he was able to get 'access to work' support from the jobcentre. Basically they provided free taxis to work for him until he got his licence back. Not sure if it's still available, but worth asking about if you are working and will struggle to get to and from work without your car. HTHMorning everyone..
Thank you very much for all the good luck wishes yestereday..
the consultant i saw was very nice and listened to everything.. he confirmed i had a TONIC CLONIC / GRAND MAL seizure. he said i have to lose my driving licence for 6 months at the moment as it may only be a one off..if i have more it will be a rolling 1 year ban.
he done some tests on me yesterday ECG, reflexes, eyes, and some weird thing with a tuning fork.
i have to go back for a MRI in the next 4-6 weeks and also have to go to another hospital in oxford for the EEG in 4-6 weeks. (100mile round trip)
from the test he done yesterday he said he dosent think its anything sinister..
to get a epilepsy diagnosis you have to have 2+ fits. and if i have another its likely to be in the coming weeks/months..so the longer i go without the less chance its likely to happen again.
I havent been on a bus for about 20 years, but luckily yesterday they all ran on time without a hitch..apart from the drivers being so blooming miserable..0 -
No idea I suppose if they have somewhere to get out of it but -9 is cold. It was -4 when we went to the woods and they loved it but never stopped moving I would not have them sleeping outside in it but maybe I am just softhelen2k333 wrote: »Hi David,
Your dogs are lovely, my OH would love one but my two DD are enough for now, but definitely one day.
They have dogs over my back fence and they always seem to be outside in the freezing cold barking, it's been minus 9 today and they still seem to be out there, is that allowed?

Can only speak about our 2 everyone says springers are mad :rotfl:they do have lots of energy but ours are asleep after there walk/charge around the woods.
They are fine but you do need to take them for a good walk or better still a run and let them burn off some energy. I suppose that is the same for any working type/energetic dog.
Once they are free in the woods they dont stop all the smells etc, I am just something to come back to now and again.
Dexter in particular is climbing the walls if I am late taking them out he just paces around the house then sits on the floor next to me and stares at me :rotfl:till I get off my butt and take them out.
I think I have said before on here that we put off getting a dog for this reason and that for 15 years or more. Then eventually bit the bullet and got Bailey a year later I suprised DW with Dex for her birthday.
Well I say suprised she had the page open of the breeders website whenever I went to go on the computer  so more I did as I was supposed to I think :rotfl:.
Wish we had got them years ago as everything that was putting us off
Mess
Cost of keeping them
Being tied
etc etc
is all true
But when they see you and look over the moon/go absolutely crazy or snuggle up to you on the sofa and go to sleep or just keep bugging you till you play with them makes it all worth it.
Start off with baby steps get your OH to the kennels mention it to them first once he sees not all dogs are going to bite him you never know .
Plus he may well fall for one there and then
Thanks for this, this is exactly what I am hoping will happen. He is always saying about the cost, being tied, not having a big enough house, but like I always say to him, if we lived in a mansion the house still wouldnt be big enough, its just excuses. I keep leaving the page open on the laptop with the dogs on or I have printed pics off and left them lying around the house. I will keep trying and I will succeed sometime soon (hopefully).0 -

The easiest tea loaf you will ever make:)
13oz mixed fruit
5oz sugar
Half a pint of hot strong tea
11 oz SR flour
1 beaten egg
Soak fruit and sugar in tea overnight
Next day add flour and egg and mix well.
Put mixture into lined loaf tin and cook for one and a half hours in a medium hot oven.
Eat with lurpak:)
I tried your recipe this morning TrulyMadly. I added apricots and cherries as we like them.
...you're right, it is yumm with Lurpak! :T

hi guys, i have a question regarding buzz agent.
How/when do you receive the clubcard points that you earn through various tasks?
I just been into my account and is showing that i have 300 clubcard points, do i have to redeem them in some way or do they automatically get credited to my clubcard?
Also been on tesco website and checked clubcard statement on there and no mention of the ones from buzzagent. It`s nice to be important, but its more important to be nice.

Most pedigree dogs have some problems associated with the breed but I remember seeing a program where the Cavalier was on and evidently they have major problems with their skull being too small for their brain as they grow and it pressing on the brain causing all sorts of problems.Sarahdol75 wrote: »Also liking king charles cavalier. When The Fun Stops Stop

Depending on the dog you get they dont take up any room really, thats the least of your worries :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Sarahdol75 wrote: »Thanks for this, this is exactly what I am hoping will happen.
