These price rises on basic items is really quite shocking, especially the peas and passata

Wow just seen the value tuna one gone up to 75p - the cats are gonna be really peed off because they wont be having it at that price LOL :(
  • That's nothing, in tosco the passata has gone up from 29p to 65p

and the mushy peas in Tosco - 8p to 25p at last glance :(

I thought it was bad enough that jellied eels in tesco had gone up from £10 to £12 a kilo, but that's nothing compared to yours.

    Evening All

Just had a strange phone call from Hilarys Blinds telling me I have won a voucher for £250 worth of blinds in a competition run by Home and Bargains.
Apparently I should have had a winning email.
I enter alot of competitions and do vaguely remember entering a Hilarys Blinds comp.
Told him that obviously I am a bit skeptial as not had anything in writing informing me of the win and could he arrange this along with the terms of the prize before I allow anyone into my home.

On a positive note I had an nice O2 freebie today. hoice of £10 argos or Debenhams voucher. Going for Debenhams one but not sure why I qualify for this loyalty offer as not the anniversary of my contract.

FK stunning photos, am I allowed to print a couple to use for painting class?
    V x

Careful with them, they were twice as expensive compared to quotes I had for my blinds. Hope you get something decent for your £250 well done!

I'm off to bed feel totally unprepared for the boots sale, who was of that was setting out at 0630?

Should I be setting an alarm for an online sale as well guys ?

Re prescriptions I kind of only half read the previous posts, I'm on my phone so can't do a lengthy comment you'll be relieved to hear ;)

1.I often give my patients 2 or 3 months supply of prescriptions at a time. I often sign repeats without even reading them!!!
2.If they pay for prescriptions it is allowed but not more than 3 months
    3. If they have regular repeats it saves my staff time with patients ringing in every month. FGS by the time you've ordered one month it's time for the next months!
    4. You can't abuse the system as your repeats will be set at say 2 or 3 monthly so you can only order at the right time of the computer will flag up that you've overused them.
    5. I myself have paracetamol on repeat prescription and yes I get 200 a month even though they are 18p over the counter. Am I abusing the system? I would say no- when I go to the supermarket I can only buy 2packs of 16, I would have to go to buy paracetamol every other day for however long if took for my shoulder to heal!
    6. We have a traffic light system with all drugs, some of the more complex cancer drugs are red light ( consultant prescription only) others require shared care agreements where a consultant agrees to monitor a script if we issue it but this needs appropriate paperwork completing, others are amber which can mean we can prescribe if the consultant starts you off on it. I'm afraid we are forever having problems with dalteparin scripts. Your consultant should be aware - either he gives you enough to last however long he wants you on them or he specifically writes to the GP to ask us to take over prescribing. I still have a couple of patients same as logie, consultant still hasn't written to us, practice PCT pharmacist won't let us add thd prescription :( Afraid 99% of my job is politics 1% medicine
Why do you think I prefer glitching ?:D

Celebrate - glad to see your views on paracetomol! My view too - but couldn't believe when in hospital for lumpectomy in May and told to buy my own paracetomol on way home (10.30pm) ...or wait hours for the consultant..... Tried to say would prefer that as just made redunddant and only one pharmacy in village (not knowing how many I would need) therefore would wait.... Nurse was then horrendous and replied its only 16p surely you can afford that, and "its only like a paper cut" Found out she was the ward sister (evening shift!). Its normally a day ward and it was Friday night - they didn't want anyone on ward overnight I expect (which I had been told was a possiblility if late out of operation ...). Shame as everyone else so nice..... She didn't seem to appreciate you can't be going in every 5 minutes particularly if pharmacy miles away. Wouldn't have minded if we had been told before i went in as OH passed supermarket 3 times on way to drop me off, visit and pick up. Since been told nurses have been told to say this (?) I know NHS needs to save money and paracetomol prescriptions mostly not needed and expensive but surely not post operatively or if volume required. Glad to see your beacon of sense Celebration.

Good luck in the Boots sale.:rotfl:

More info please?:) Is this full blown photoshop? I have a CD of the full product but for some reason it will no longer read. I already have things like elements and another cut down version(can't remember which). Both came free with older digital cameras I have.
