I was reminising about the winter of 1985 earlier. I was 5 & my dad took me sledging, he cracked the sledge by going on it himself! He pulled it home, me sitting on it while I ate a potato scollop, we went down the middle of the road as tge snow was up to his knees & no traffic anywhere!

    What a lovely memory

Just taken Dd1 to the docs as she said her inhaler isn't working on her cough. He prescribed her some meds and I was gibbering on about making sure she remembers to take it all at school.
He replied 'oh no she's not going school today, she is very ill' making me look a complete lemon and feel soooo bad!
I feel like a really rubbish Mum now, I do have a habit of sending my kids to school unless their at deaths door but because her symptoms to me seemed so minor I wasn't worrying :(

Unfortunately for her it seems sledging is out of the question then - guess I'll just have to go in her place :D

dont feel bad thses day we are made to belive we will go to jail or have a hefty fine if we dont send kids in , i only kep my dd off if it major if its a sniffles i send her as kids get it all the time and teachers say to only if its major or doc say do tey stay off

i need my time out lol :o:rotfl:

Just stopped for lunch and looking out of the window I think I would descibe it as proper big snow and the conifers at the bottom of the garden are looking very white:snow_laugl Lovely to see when looking through the windows of a nice warm house and my thoughts turned to all those poor souls living rough:eek:

Thankyou. Last year was my year for being spoiled though. The big 40.
Got home to find a car on the drive with a bow wrapped round and a bottle of baileys on top. Not a new car but just what I wanted. I was also told to be ready for 7pm and was taken out in a stretch humer to a local restaurant where friends were waiting to surprise me. Best birthday ever. Also got treated to minx nails and lots of pressies x
