Good morning all. Just a sprinkling of snow here, but more forecast. I've woken DS2 a bit early cos he has a half hour drive over high ground to college and will need extra time in case the road is treacherous. He has strict instructions to ring/text to let me know he has arrived safely.
No work for me today, only more housework. I didn't get back on here yesterday as I went into cooking frenzy mode. I cooked a beef stew, a turkey crown, an apple sponge pudding, choc chip cookies, a Victoria sponge, SW chips, 2 loaves of bread and some cupcakes. I also made some SW mince, a basic recipe with onions, garlic and some veg, whoopsied of course! that can be used for shepherds pie, spag bol, or tarted up with chilli for a chilli con carne with rice. (All free on SW :j)
DS1 has just grunted as he went past the bedroom door. I assume that meant good morning. I asked him to text me when he gets to work............. another grunt!
Hope you all have a good day. Keep warm and drive safely.

Dont worry its so routine for the vets they could do it with their eyes closed the girls will be fine & have a nice sleep but give them an extra big cuddle from me when you leave them

Didn't manage to get on here at all yesterday, so just done another huge catchup. Hope you had a lovely birthday couponqueen123.

Whereabouts are you sally06? St Albans, Watford, Bushey and Abbots Langley all have Spar.

Just a light sprinkling of snow here thank goodness. My car is rear wheel drive so slides all over the place. Fingers crossed we don't get any more.
  • Looking at everyone's snow stories, I used to live in a place in Sussex that is 800 feet above sea level. I will always remember about one June 40 years ago - we had enough snow to go sledging across the golf course (it is a championship one - Jimmy Young described it as hitting a golf ball into space once!). Fantastic for sledging as it is very hilly, saw someone go flying right over a 20ft ravine once!!! Had a great sledge that my father had made with waxed metal lined runners, seemed to move extremely fast then!!
