    Evening lovelies
As we have very little funds at the mo and noticed today that a £12+ apg finished today we decided to get some ESSENTIALS.......first trip out for OH since his op, so I had to remind him not to load the trolley with sweets etc.
Got some long life welchs and chose the youngest sa.
All was going well until the end when he scanned the welchs coupon and it said item not bought, then he pressed the button a couple more times and the till started to crash.
Lots of people came up and they had to take me and my shop (and vouchers) to another till and start all over.
I polietley told them OH had just had an op and needed to sit so they tried to scan everything as quick as poss......well she dropped his favourite, chicken and sweetcorn sandwich filler and it split.
She was head supervisor and was so nice, she voided it and also gave me £2,then sent a runner who could only get two small ones which were given free.
At the end she took off a further £5 and scanned the coupon no probs which gave me an extra £1 off the shopping.
So in the end my not very mse shop cost me less than £17.
Feeling smug I popped to Mr T to spend the womble I got yesterday.
£4.07, someone bought 5 brandy and it was cheaper in A.
Anyway got lots of woopsies and cokes and only parted with £8 after doubling coupons of different types etc.
Thought it was a very lucky day considering its the 13th as only spent £25 in real money and the cupboards and freezers are fit to bust.

glad to see you were treated with some kind of respect there hun i was born on friday the 13 :eek: lol the welches purple grape are vile i opend the carton adn gave everyone a drink no-one likes it so iv made lollies with lemonade added to them out of whats left and given the second one to my friend i got to rather than money off shopping and im gutted naw lol

I wouldn't necessarily leave it at that. I'd try ringing them tomorrow and see if you can get anything out of them or if you can return the product to your nearest store for a full refund (what about the 28 days if you're not happy type of thing, usu. on the back of store receipts? - someone may tell me it doesn't apply to online but I'm no expert on T's returns policies). Nevertheless, I've sometimes found I get nothing more if I email but, if I speak to someone on the phone, sometimes they send me more (also please see my post 1591 on page 80).

After all, they don't want one of their customers to be left unhappy and not shop with them again - or at least it may be assumed? I'd tell them I'd go to S or A next time if they raise prices by so much the day after you've ordered. After all, it wasn't what you expected. You may hit lucky on the phone and speak to someone who takes a more favourable approach - although I suspect sometimes it just happens to depend on the individual CS person you speak to.

Regarding the reply to your email, can they really understand your disappointment and concern if they then don't allow you to change your mind? They're within their rights not to allow you to do so, just as if we buy something at a glitched price at Boots and the cashier takes the money and we take the product away, that's a contract formed and they couldn't insist we returned and paid full price. They say that, having checked their website, the Vimto cordial is priced at £2.65. However, that's the current price and not what the pricing was on the date you placed your order, which you saw and caused you to order 3 bottles (not having read the terms about the price being the one on the date of delivery - but then we aren't talking about terms and legal contracts here, but about goodwill and one of their CS might allow you to return the Vimtos).

Thank you so much for your reply Savvybuyer:T and I think I will take this a little further now. Your comprehensive explanation has given me a confidence boost and if all else fails I will take the Vimto back to the store for a full refund :)

    OMG! I'm easily excited.

Just opened up a Terry's Chocolate Orange by bashing it a few times. The smell emanating from it is gorgeous. Mmmmmm.

Hope you have all had a rather smashing weekend. So can't be bothered going back to work tomorrow!

Snow is sticking coming down heavy now.

The snow has currently stopped here but there is a layer on vehicles and the lawn. I hope they give the roads a good gritting tonight and early morning otherwise it will be treacherous.

Happy Birthday couponqueen123 - hope you had a nice day.:bdaycake:
