And a big welcome to all peeps either new to the thread or long time lurkers brave (or mad) enough to join in.

There are no rules - folk use the thanks button for all kinds of reasons to suit themselves. As a post marker. Because it made you smile :rotfl: Because it has been MSE and helped you save money :money: Because someone is having a difficult time and it is a way of expressing empathy or solidarity :(. Because you want to experess your agreement of a comment :T Because you are glad to see a particular person posting that day :). Because someone's post has been uplifting or made a positive difference to your day :A Loads more reasons - it's a very useful button :D Maybe don't read too much into it and use it however you would like - or don't use it at all if that fits better. But I do think the amount of thanks generally reflects the buoyancy and vibrancy of the thread as a whole, so is probably a good thing overall.

Need to go shopping today - have been putting it off as have limited amount of coupons AND NO CS MOCS  Ouch - can't remember the last time I had to pay for my shopping :rotfl::rotfl:

I thought maybe there was.some kind of etiquette I'd missed, now I understand :)
This place seems really friendly so far, just wondering how you guys manage to visit so many supermarkets. I don't drive and live walking distance from a T's, leaves my options limited :(

    Hello

I can't believe how fantastic the customer service is at John Lewis :)

Our village has very few roads where the houses are numbered and we don't have a house number only a name. Unfortunately another house the other side of the village shares the same name as ours, and we occasionally get their parcels or mail even though its a different postcode.
When my husband went to put his willies on this morning from the boot storage trunk outside, he found a parcel from John Lewis. No idea how long it had been there as Hermes hadn't posted a card through the letterbox to say they'd left it there.
I took it to the correct address where the lady told me she'd already been refunded and had ordered another from John Lewis which had been delivered.
Well, she has just knocked on my door to say that John Lewis told her to keep the 2nd parcel for free and she asked that as I'd had to take a few wrongly delivered items to her, including cases of wine, would I like it?
Its only a Jamie Oliver hand mixer worth £60 :j:j

    well done:T
