    I usually do mine in the pot - no room for a slow cooker! Just had left over stew from last night - very nice! I always make double as its much better the second day! Hope your enjoying yours as we speak - i'm sure it'll have been very nice.

    i too had a second helping of stew from last night - tastes so much nicer on day 2 LOL :)

    Hi all, took it out at 8:30, it was absolutely lovely!! I urge you all to try it if beef n ale stew gets a bit samey for you.

    Thanks for all the help, im glad I waited. In true MSE style I also made a double batch and also chucked in some left over baked beans to bulk it out even more. Should have enough for my lunch at work and tea for both of us again.

    I would upload a photo, but it just looks like normal beef stew. The proof is in the tasting :)

    Everything apart from the meat and a lime was in my store cupboard.

    Spent about £4 for both and stretched to 5 meals. 80p per meal. Who said cheap has to be boring?
