A Accounts packages for small businesses

Hi, I have bought an off the shelf small business accounts software package and have found it very confusing. (NCH Business essentials). The support is not free, in fact its quite expensive and the third party company I bought it from (Serif) did say at the time that support was included, when in fact it was chargeable. (sales pople will say anything to get a sale). I have since had my money back.
I am now looking for some advice. I would like to know if anyone is using a software package that is in-expensive and easy to use with some technical support attached. Everyone I look at is expensive, or free but you have to pay through the nose for support. I need : to create invoices/ log purchases/ account for VAT and preferably import my bank statements via CSV.
If anyone could help I would be grateful.

CSV bank statement files, can be imported into imported into Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, so maybe a package can be avoided. Admin/Book keeping will always be time-consuming or expensive or both I am afraid.0

If you've got an open mind. Look at something called 'Accounts Portal' Its £10 a month and its really easy to use. Alot of accountants are signing up to it and your accountant may provide it cheaper.
We have been using it now for about 18 months and its perfect for us.
I can't post links, but just google it and it works really well. It can do everything most account packages do. Also its all backed up so you don't have to worry about that yourself.0
