I went to Home Bargains in Gateshead today because I keep seeing people on this forum talking about their bargains from this shop. It was my first time in the shop and I got loads of bargains including the Lego Friends annual for 99p (much to my daughter's delight), a thermal T-shirt for her for £1.99, jars of sundried tomatoes, peppers and artichokes for £1 each, jars of olives (340g) for 59p and Douwe Egberts cafetiere coffee for 99p!

  • Found today a Charles Worthington Hair Straightening Kit £1.99, they have them for coloured and non-coloured hair!

They have clearly re-branded the packaging as it's £7 in Boots for the newer box! :D

Say's half price on Boots so £14 RRP . Does it come with the 250ml Shampoo and 250ml conditioner like it says online?

Thrifty, the HB one is not the same as the Boots one. Hb has a bottle of straightener fluid that you leave on for 20 mins to develop, smells like a perm solution while it's developing. The boots kit is just shampoo, conditioner & spray.

  • Picked up Head and Shoulders Colour Care Shampoo for £1.49 yesterday. That's a really good price for the colour care variety which can't usually be found in the cheap shops. Have to pay top whack for it normally!

Also picked up some of those snow and ice grips to attach to the bottom of your shoes. I've been sceptical about these in the past but they were only 99p so I thought I'd get them in before the bad weather starts when they'll promptly sell out!
