Why is it when you try and tell husband he has to get up and move about - for 2 1/2 days now bed, chair and kitchen only.
Oh and complaining he is cold!
You then get shouts of any thing good you try and do thrown in your face.
this morning because I have been saying I need to loose weight I got "you aught to look after your self and leave me alone.
" As least I have a job and am not 12 stone!
I got made redundant in December - he works 4 days.

Maybe he just wants a break for a bit....if he's cold why doesn't the heating get turned up a bit.
Who cooks the dinner?:footie:

The heating is down due to cost.
I cook the dinner every night and wash all dishes in kitchen.
Do the washing every day and tidy up.The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)0 -
Is he not feeling so well or just being lazy? I know I do have times when I just feel like have a lazy day or two and OH will just leave me to it
What is it that's bothering you - just the fact that he's sitting around or are you having to do everything in the meantime, ie cook and clean for him, as that I would find unacceptable and he would be left to sort himself out! 0 -
I don't understand - why do you think he needs to move about more?
Presumably he leave the house 4 days a week to go to work? Some people just don't want to do much on their days off.
Edit: Although if this is a problem with not sharing the housework, then I see why you're upset...Mortgage when started: £330,995

I think it is the fact that he is not moving. Sitting in one place all the time will make you feel cold.
The fact that when you say something he does not like, you get all the nasties shouted at you.
Perhaps I will stay quiet about things like reducing what I eat.
No, not about the house work.
I think it may be just bickering. Will try more not to comment. The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)0 -
How are you phrasing it to him? As if my OH kept telling to get up and have a move round I'd probably look at him a little funny. If on the other hand he asked me if I'd like to do this or go to such-a-place, then it would make more sense. Could you maybe start taking walks to help with your weight loss and ask him to come along for 'moral support'?
Edited to add - I see you were made redundant so are you at home all day? Could possibly be that little things about him are annoying you more because you're around him 24/7 now? I know it did with me when I was off work!0 -
I don't understand. What do you want him to move around to do?
It's a bit off to expect him to move around the house just for the sake of you not having to look at him sitting.
Don't you ever just sit to read, watch TV, use internet etc?Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -

Yes, I do sit - in between doing the house work.
By staying in bed or sitting for 36 hours it is not good for circulation. People have to move. Bit of gardening, walk the dog, something.
He has gone out with the dog now so things are looking better...
Although he left the back door wide open!!! I have just shut it and will say nothing.
Just sitting for many hours makes you cold.
As I said , i should not have said anything, each to their own!The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)0 -

I have to admit I have weekends where I just stay in bed with the newspapers and a pile of books! Sometimes you just need to veg out. If I was cold though I would just do something about it. I wouldn't endlessly go on about it.0
