I have lost my job through armed forces redundancy. Does anyone know what I have to declare of my payout?. It was all tax free above 30,000. Tax credit office said I should `put it on end of year form, she didn't have any idea. Im not sure what I have to declare, nothing on website. Can anyone help. Even though it was all tax free do I just declare above the 30k?
Thanks

Hi odydog,
The first 30k is disregarded and you delcare to them what it was over that amount. ie if you got 45k, you declare 15k to them. Hope that helps
