Quotes for lintel above window

Hi

We have a window (about 2m wide) that needs a lintel installing (there is a triangle of cracked brickwork above it).

I have got three quotes but they vary wildly (all inc VAT).

1 £350 - a builder from round the corner, not used by me before but been in business 7 years.

2 £520 - recommended builder, with reputation for being a little pricey.

3 £1200 - a builder who totally rebuilt our kitchen for an excellent price but seems to be way out there on this one

We'll probably go for 1 or 2 but a) Which seems most reasonable, obviously we'd prefer cheaper, but not too cheap...

b) Where did figure 3 come from - is there something the other 2 missed?
