Is it worth looking at attachments for your Kenwood Chef? I have just been looking at an ice-cream making attachment for my Kenwood and notice that they sell slicing and grating attachments now.
Have them all. What I hate about the kenwood is the weight and space. It's just so unwieldy
So it's tucked up in the top most cupboard where it will rot, mother getting it down once a year to make the Christmas cake
I'm very happy with my small footprint magimix. Rock solid but is still small enough to leave out on the work top without it being in the way0 -
Don't know if you've already decided now, but the Bosch MCM4008 is worth a look. I too have the other items and just wanted something to chop and slice. This one feels sturdy, the motor seems powerful enough not to struggle and the attachments fit into a drawer inside the base. I've only had mine a couple of weeks but have made coleslaw and pastry with no effort or drama. Incidentally the model that also included a blender (I didn't need that one) was a recent Which best buy.0

We had a Kenwood years ago and it was fab as advised by Which.
What does the latest Which report have to say? Don't have their service so can't easily look it up.
I'd love to know as I would like one too.
What have you gone for OP?0 -
Can be worth looking on Amazon for product user reviews which rate it between 1 and 5 stars, and unlike some sites which only want to hear good things, if you have purchased a product, amazon will post your review within reason.
You may find a product review here, though not always

Brilliant - thanks.
I used that email address and got a response the next day. They have asked me to send the item back to them so they can investigate (although they did suggest that overuse can cause the product to set on fire - hmmmmm, blame the customer! I clearly stated I used it exactly as per the instruction book). Let's see what happens next...0 -
I've just bought (and have had delivered, so it's a real in-stock item) a Magimix 4200 (middle-sized one) at House of Fraser online. £168 but I went through TopCashback and got a further 5.05% as a new HoF customer which tracked immediately. So net price £159.59 which is great. That is £16 cheaper than the cheapest 3200 which is on Amazon (the small one).
In fact the 4200 is also at John Lewis online at £168 at the moment. The cheapest 'regular' price (at Harts of Stur) is £195. Mostly the 4200 is well over £200.0
