Thanks again.
We have heard about Roboform but not looked at it yet. Thanks for the tip.
Also when you talk about your dailies, do you have certain competitions marked in some way to return to daily or do you go through the 'regular competitions'?
You must be doing well, you have won loads already this year :T0 -
Your router has an external connection that goes to your broadband provider and also internal Wi-Fi and Ethernet ports that you connect your own computers (PCs/laptops/tablets/smart phones) to.
They have different IP addresses.
The external interface has an IP address that is assigned by your broadband provider when you switch it on. You need to login to your router to see this. The different companies (Sky, BT, Virgin, etc. have different sets of addresses they can use).
If you reset your router, you will likely get a different one, so if the comp is checking for that then switching off and on might get around it.
However, that is a really bad way for a competition to check you are unique, as the address you have freed up could be assigned to another of your broadband provider's customers, so they could be disqualified.
I have, however, seen it done for cashback daily clicks, and in the past I've reset my router to get around it.
On the internal side, the usual way equipment comes is that your computer is set up to ask the router for an IP address and the router is set up to give one to it (this is called DHCP).
The default address is one of 192.168.0.2 to 192.168.0.254.
The competition provider could not select on that, because they would only allow themselves 252 entries to the comp (which would give you very good odds though!).0
