Just looked what Wikipedia says about ip addresses:-
IP address - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IP_addressAn Internet Protocol address (IP address) is a numerical label assigned to each device (e.g., computer, printer) participating in a computer network that uses the ...
This has me very confused now lolBIG THANKS TO ALL WHO POST THE COMPETITIONS0 -
You can use Google search to find your IP address. Type what is my IP address as a search query and Google will show the IP address of the computer from which the query was received as the top search result.

B.Sue, you are absolutely right. Oh dear, wonder where this leaves us then?? Wonder where we can ask this question? We are both doing comps and both winning but wonder if this stops us winning the likes of ITV, Times etc?BIG THANKS TO ALL WHO POST THE COMPETITIONS0

My guess is you are spot on in how you comp. As you make sure that only one of you does the 'one per household' comps, it shouldn't affect the others. The ITV comps go by telephone numbers, and they won't let you disqualify yourself, as they won't accept entries after the allotted number anyway.I am brave, I am bruised

No problem with the ITV comps, as Blulu says, it's the telephone number that counts. The Times comp won't let you enter more than once an hour with the same details and has a captcha for subsequent entries from the same IP, so you're fine there too.Luck is believing you’re lucky – Tennessee Williams

Thanks Blulu - thought we were wasting out time for a minute there. We both put many hours a day in as we really enjoy comping and it gets a few presents for the family.BIG THANKS TO ALL WHO POST THE COMPETITIONS0 -
The basics about IP addresses are that every device that connects to the internet will have an IP address.
If you are at home and connect through a router, each device will have an internal IP address which the comp runners will not see. They will only see the IP address of your router so will register as the same IP address even if you use a different computer in the same connection0 -
Thank you all so much for responding to my question, it's nice to know there are other husband and wife teams having fun with this too.
I think Sylvia's suggestion of just one partner doing the 1 per household ones is a very good idea.
It's a good job I asked you all as it would be such a shame to cancel each other out!
I also liked the idea of getting presents for the family - fingers crossed
Hubby wants to win a motorbike!!!! Hmmmm not so sure about that idea LOL0 -
Hi Penny 56
Keep at it, we seem to be doing well as a team and have fun doing it. We have a system where my OH does my daily's before I get up lol on my computer as I find the continuous repetition hurts my bad hands. Then he does his own on his. In return I do his weekly/months mags, TAB etc and check his emails etc. If you use roboform have you checked out the "using roboform to fill in 'no thanks' boxes in Dalies. Not sure how to put the link in but I am sure someone will come on and put it on if they see this post. (its just a couple of posts above this one at the moment). It is easy to set up and makes things much quicker.
Anyway, good luck.BIG THANKS TO ALL WHO POST THE COMPETITIONS0
