hi it doesnt apply to me but have always been curious what the answer is. Say someone has a good job and has a credit card that has a £10,000 limit then loses said job and goes on benefits, somewhere down the line whilst on benefits he withdraws the £10,000 out of the cedit card in cash would that be classified as savings??????? ie when he is renewing his claim and it asks how much savings he has does he have to put £10,000?my thoughts are that it aint his money in the first place so cant be savings.

If the person has money in her account, then that counts as savings. The fact that the money was borrowed is irrelevant.0
