surveyor fees

Hi I am currently in the middle of buying a hotel and had a full survey done on 5th January this year, it cost me around £1500 and I had 2 copies sent to my home address.
I now have to borrow a small amount from the bank who want another survey done as they wont accept the one i have as it is addressed to me not the bank!!
The surveyor has said before he can send a copy to my bank he will have to go back out and "walk around it" to make sure everything is still in order and this will cost me £60 plus vat.
Is this right and if it is going to cost me £60 how come the first one cost £1500 when all he is going to do is walk round it? many thanks

Pay up £60 (he's doing you a favour) and get on with it. You're lucky he's agreed to do this for you for a small cost!

Your paying for his time to get to and from the property, walk around it to check nothing has changed then copying your original survey and addressing it to the bank. This is so he can legally say to the bank he has done another survey.

As mchu6am4 said he is doing you a favour.
    I'm not cynical I'm realistic :p
