Anyone been to the Bristol hippodrome?

Can you tell me what the seats are like? If you are in the front row do you get neck ache from looking up? And if further back in the stalls do the seats rise as you go back, don't want me son to not able able to see anything :-)

Thanks

Never sat in the front row of the stalls so cannot comment on that. You can see from the photo that the stalls are on a slope, not the steepest ever but good enough as I've sat near the back and was ok.

Personally have always preferred the front row of the Grand Circle which is where I used to go for when I used to live in Bristol

I have sat upstairs on the right hand side and middle of the very front rows and both times were ok, no neck strain etc just enjoyed the shows, have fun :-)

The Upper Circle are usually much cheaper but are bench seats and not divided up. The view is ok though. When you book tickets there you can choose your seats on their seating plan and I usually try for the front row of the Upper Circle on an end (less squashy than in the middle and good if you have kids with you). But if I am feeling richer I go for front row on the Grand Circle, you can usually get them if you book quickly when the tickets are released.
  • I sat about 5 rows back from the front to see we will rock you and the seat was perfect. Wouldnt have wanted to be any closer though
  • I've been a couple of times. Once right at the back of the stalls and about 5-6 rows from the front and also upper circle. Stalls fine; upper circle meh!

I have sat in the middle of the second and third rows in the stalls and thought they were great seats. Maybe a tad too close, but not overwhelmingly so. I am very short and I generally quite impressed by the Hippodrome's seating.

I've been on the front row once and had no neck ache - loved having the leg room and not having bother people to get up and use the loo. I was seeing a comedian though, so it may be a different experience if you're watching an opera or ballet or whatever
