V Australia can do it for 776.27 - cor its cheap for Virgin, but it is the same price as the virgin site. cor I really really want to go to Aus, going to have to keep away from temptation at that price myself! Just to add 3 our of the 4 flights are with ethiad, but there apparently still a good company:T:T  :beer::beer: to the lil one

The best price i have had is £850 return economy with Singapore on a A380 (an Airframe i built many bits for in the past) Ariana and China all come in close to that also if you fly to thier hubs in Europe from the UK.
I have long legs and once spent 8 hrs with my legs tangled across a very sympathetic and attractive female passenger seated next too me on a flight to the US a few years back, until the crew took pity on her and swapped with me with a exit seat, but this was a charter flight. I think the whole thing about DVT has been applied to seat spacing and 32" pitch does sound alot, but these are long flights also. Premium Economy is double the price at £1600, so i am debating the costs.
I'm 6'4" with long legs and haven't had a problem with cattle class on scheduled long haul flights, even to Australia. On short/medium haul, the seat pitch usually means that I can't sit in the seat properly so I pay the extra.0 -
I've just come back from Aus with singapore air. We travelled on the airbus 380 and the seats had a fair amount of legroom, but I'll own up to not being 6'. If you are able to check in online as soon as it becomes available (I think it's 48 hours in advance) you might be able to get the emergency exit seats which have plenty of legroom.I need to make a new list for 2014
think of something to put on it!:rotfl:
Try harder for 2014 as I never managed it in 2012 or 20130 -
Hi, this might be a bit late....only just seen the original post.
Have flown with Singapore a few times to Sydney, both on my own and with other half.
I don't think Singapore do a premium economy seat, but for £30 they offer premium seating, which is basically the exit row seats.
Worth it if you get the A380 upstairs seats at the front. The only thing in front of you is a big space then the blue curtain through to business class. (Nearest I will ever get to business class!!)
You get no other extras for your £30, but if leg room is what you want, go for it! (Just make sure it is a 380 with economy seats upstairs (some configurations are all business upstairs!).
Cheers......0 -
Yes. We've just booked with Singapore and paid for the preferred seats.
Bear in mind that it is £30 per leg though, so £120 extra pp for the round trip.0
