Hi,
I was due to go on a hen do, flights and hotel booked and paid for, however, the wedding has now been cancelled with no likelihood of it being reinstated.
The booking was made by another person.
I have comprehensive travel insurance and was wondering if such cancellations are covered - I've read the terms and can't see any exclusions that match but neither is it clear as to what reasons for cancellation are covered and if I will be covered because I didn't book it myself.
My policy is with the Lloyds TSB Platinum account.
Many thanks

The Travel Insurance will normally list what reasons they cover cancellation for eg Illness etc.
It's unlikely to cover "Disinclination" but there's no harm in trying.0 -
Terms and conditions are available here:

Disinclination is specifically excluded (except under advice from Foreign & Commonweath Office). see page 18, item 6 of 'What is not covered'0 -
Ah yes! I missed the bit about "disinclination".
