Need to replace a window and have had 4 local firms (stayed away from the 'national' companies), window is 112cm x 112cm with a fully opening sash on one side and is leaded on both panes, no trickle vent. Been priced at £350 - £550 supplied and fitted, south wales area, any thoughts anyone, thanks in advance

I agree stay away from national firms. We got quoted £25, 000 for a large conservatory- with big showrooms (2 of them) A local firm, recommended by neighbour qouted 17,500 for a better spec and has done a great job. However we got cheap windows a few years ago and they sre not very good. Get "A"rated windows if you can. Ours are argon filled. The guarantees they give are generally a waste of space. Prices seem about what I would expect but do look at quality of handles, locks etc.0
