Holiday Pay Deduction

Hello,
I was just wondering if I have started a new job during November I'm obviously not entitled to the full years holiday.
However, If the company is closed for a week over Christmas, can they deduct my wages for the holiday days taken against my will?
I would and could have worked them, but they decide to close
Thanks

They can tell you when to take your holidays, and if you hadn't earned enough by Christmas then yes, they can deduct wages for it.Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0 -
Just in case OP returns, if you have a contract of employment your answer should be in the hand book they supplied with it.
If not ask HR."Man invented language to satisfy his deep need to complain."
