Pinch to Zoom problems

Hi folks,
I have a HP DM4 -1150ea Laptop. It has recently started playing up
The space bar sometimes does not register a press and thus end up with text where some words have no spacing
The last couple of days when starting up, the pinch to zoom does not work. Going into the mouse settings it is enabled but the sensitivity is right down. I turn it back up and it works and although selecting 'apply' i have to go through the same thing every start up
The laptop is running window 7 pro and satates the device driver is up to date
