Reclaiming bank charges if you have credit card debts with the same bank!

OK, so Martin gives us some great advice on what to do in terms of setting up a parachute account if your account is overdrawn, just in case the bank decide to close the account.
But what if you've got two credit cards and close to £10,000 worth of credit card debt with the same bank your current account is with? (In my case, to be specific: The Co-operative Bank.) Does anyone know if a bank might decide to close down someone's credit card accounts and demand their money back straight away, just because that person has started the process of reclaiming bank charges on their current account?
Would people recommend beginning the process of reclaiming bank charges in this circumstance, or would it be too risky?
(The obvious solution would be to try and shift the credit card debt onto a new, 0% card, but in my case, comparing my debts to my income, I think it is unlikely a card issuer would issue me a new card with a credit limit of anything like £10,000.)
Any advice would be most welcome! Thanks.

Theoretically, claiming charges back on your current account shouldn't affect any loans, credit cards or mortgages you have with the bank as they are all under separate agreements. However, my husband claimed back £60 from the Co-Op and they immediately removed his overdraft facility. I am claiming back £440 from Lloyds TSB and have found that they have become deliberately awkward with me when I have called them asking for a repayment holiday on a loan I have been paying religiously for over 4 years and never been a minute late with a payment (collected by DD) and never missed a penny off the payments. I am sure that they have refused to allow me a payment holiday purely because of the bank charge reclaim.I am a Travel Agent My company’s ATOL/ABTA numbers are E7760/3970.
