Lidl Nappies - Any good?

Options
Hi

Expecting a baby very soon and an trying to decide whether to use reusable nappies (any advice on which is best would be greatfully recieved) or Lidl brand nappies.

As I'm trying to create a realistic budget in advance i'd like to know if anyone has experience using Lidl's nappies and whether I should even consider them when planning our finances?

Thanks

I didn't use them on a newborn, but for an older baby the Lidl ones were great

No harm in buying a small pack and trying them. On the subject of reusables, there's been a few threads on them so a quick search and read through might help you.

I used lidl nappies with my daughter who is now nearly 3, they were the best by far and I think I tried all of them!

We used real nappies on the whole bit for times when we needed sposies (e.g. hols) we used a mix of Lidl, Pampers and Tesco (wasn't so keen on Huggies), Lidl were comparable to the other decent ones. Don't think they come in a newborn size though.

Lils/aldi nappies were fine for my 2 but didn't go small enough for pre-termers
  • I know you didn't ask about Aldi nappies but they come in a newborn size and personally I've found them to be fantastic. Whenever I've used another brand (example: Pampers on holiday) I've found them to be awful compared.

  • I used Lidl nappies for quite a while with DD, they are much better than other supermarket own brand and Pampers but had to eventually change back to Huggies as she's quite susceptible to nappy rash and has excema and Huggies are the only ones that I can use and keep the skin under control. If she didn't have the skin problems then I would still use the Lidl ones.

Really cant fault Lidl nappies or pull ups, they are very reasonable priced and I have never had a leak with either my son or daughter.

I used Lidl (Toujours) Nappies on my youngest and the pull ups on my eldest. Now my daughter is 2 and in pullups and size 4 I have to wait until she is big enough to fit into Lidl pullups as I think they start at size 5 and we will be back to using them.
I have tried quite a lot of different brands (did some product testing) and I think Lidl nappies are really good value and work really well.

  • A friend's brother is some kind of manager for lidl. Their nappies are made by either pampers / Huggies, can' t remember, but one of the big brands.
